Reinstated and then fade
by Zeds Dead ini'm a man - d'fd for 2.5 years now and divorced.
find it hard to date girls out here only due to always having this secret i carry with me that i was once a jw and the thought of telling a girl one day why my family don't acknowledge me as even alive.. recently been thinking of trying to get reinstated and then do a quick fade as i cant go back to the whole jw stuff.. easier said than done and was turned down twice by elders after an immediate attempt 2 years ago.. my motivation for trying would be 1.
) to see if family make contact and 2) play the last hand in their game and give the middle finger.. interested in viewpoints?.

I'm not d'fd,faded and divorced. I've told plenty of women I've done dated that some of my family will act stupid ,none had a problem with it ,if you get reinstated they will not accept u dating out of the truth anyway,so go have some fun -

Question about visiting bethel ... akward moment at the end
by nevaagain insince there a couple of ex-bethelites here, and a lot of people from the greater ny area who have probably visited the bethel in brooklyn and patterson many times, maybe they can shed some light into this curious question we (my wife and me) have for awhile.. so a couple of years ago, we happaned to be in the states and also went to visit the bethels in brooklyn and patterson.
we had the full package, what i mean is, not only we took the tour, but we also had someone to invite us for lunch.
while we wanted to enjoy our stay there, there was always a weird feeling being there.

Karma kind of makes me smile.......am I bad?
by KateWild intoday at work one of the clients that came in for advice was an elder and his wife.
they must be having issues they need help with.
this elder was the elder that told us not to go to a domestic violence shelter or not to go to the police when my daughter got a black eye.. am i bad because i smiled inside that they are having problems?.

by Freeandclear inhello all, i'm wondering if there are any ex-borg members in here from the north east ohio area?
specifically warren, youngstown, niles, and surrounding areas.. feel free to private message me if you are still "in" and want to remain anonymous.
i personally grew up in the warren tod heights congregation and know a lot of people from this general area, it would be nice to reconnect.

My story is nothing new ,mother came in about 1974 I was young ,remember Christmas and Halloween vaguely ,grew up jw ,school was a nightmare sometimes ,being different at a young age made me very shy ,still fight it now at times ,had to tell teacher 1st day of new year I couldn't salute flag ,a lot of pressure on a first grader ,but I made it ,of course got married at 20,became a ms for about 12 yrs ,they made me jump through many hoops but I thought I was doing right thing ,finally got appointed elder at 34 hrs old ,got to see very fast they were all full of crap ,one man controlled it all ,friends at bethel, like I cared ,but the others did ,I told one elder it was the worst 5 hrs of my life I'll never do it again ,he looked at me like I was nuts ,so much has happened it would take a book ,put glad to finally be here ,I'll chime in from time to time ,thank all for all your experiences over the years they have helped a lot -
